Mitä tarkoittaa

Synaesthesia on neurologinen ilmiö, jossa aistimukset sekoittuvat, ja henkilö voi kokea useita aisteja samanaikaisesti. Esimerkiksi synesteetikot saattavat nähdä värejä kuunnellessaan musiikkia tai tuntea makuja nähdessään tiettyjä värejä. Tämä voi johtua aivojen poikkeavasta yhteydestä aistikeskusten välillä. Synaestesia on yksilöllinen kokemus, ja se voi vaihdella suuresti henkilöiden välillä. Se ei ole sairaus, vaan pikemminkin erityinen aistimusten yhdistämisen tapa, joka voi olla synnynnäinen tai kehittyä elämän aikana.
