''Kontinkieli'' is constructed in two phases so that in the first phase the word ''kontti'' is thought to be added after each word in a sentence and then the first one or two letters in the original word are interchanged with the letters "ko" in ''kontti''. As an example ''hevonen'' (horse) -> ''hevonenkontti'' (intermediate form) -> ''kovonenhentti'' (''kontinkieli'' form).
